In a seen reminiscint of Pele and the Cosmos over two decades earlier, David Beckaham marched into New York this weekend. An absolutely entertaining 9 goal outburst saw Becks and his teammates on the short side and their playoff hopes all but vaporized. Beckam's precision passing and touch has been honed for years on grass and his disdain for and discomfort on the turf at Giant's Stadium was apparent. That being said, he had assisted on two goals in the first 8 minutes of play. Oh, and a shout out to American Jozy Altidore....the kid was awesome in the U-20 World Cup and he netted 2 for Red Bull putting him at I think 8 goals on the season.
